This is what we had to say last year, when the Take-Out category yielded identical results: “Some say Charlottesville is a city of bricks. But we know the truth: It’s a city of little soy sauce packets. What do you like at Asian Express when it’s time to dine a la plastic bag? Sushi, spider rolls, Kung Pao chicken… The list goes on. And, as was true last year [!!], Bodo’s is a not-very-distant second in your affections. Hey, how’s this sound: Peking pork on an everything bagel?”

With cheap dinner specials and sushi, Asian Express wins the Asian take-out battle hands-down. Of course, it wouldn’t be a food category without our favorite bagel stop. Quick, healthy bagel sandwiches, salads, and soups—with a dash of authentic Charlottesville feeling—lifted Bodo’s into second place.
